Fun Things To Do In Plano

Have you noticed that businesses are flocking to Plano in droves? Toyota, Liberty Mutual, Chase, and Boeing, to name just a few. And they’re moving here for good reason—Plano is a thriving community with a rich culture and heritage, and it has a lot to offer people who are moving to the area with these companies. If you’re moving here with one of these businesses, or are new to the Plano area for whatever reason, here are some fun things you and your family can do here!

  1. Historic Downtown Plano. This is a great place to walk around on a nice Texas day. It’s full of interesting shops and fun places to eat. This is also where Plano holds various weekend festivals.

  1. Main Event. This is where we love to go for family fun! They have a bowling alley, laser tag, and many other games. Plus the food is great, and it’s in a great location right off of 75. Whether you’re a toddler and you’re doing bumper bowling, or you’ve been bowling your whole life, or for chair bowling, it’s a great place to get away for the whole family!

  1. Arbor Hills Nature Preserve. Here you can find hiking, bike trails, a playground and a pavilion. This is a great place to get out one of our beautiful spring or fall days! (Or summer, depending on how you like the heat!) This is a great place to get the family outdoors and take advantage of Texas nature.

  1. Shops at Legacy. This is a great place to go for shopping and dining, all in an area small enough that it’s easy to walk from shop to shop, like an outdoor mall. There’s a movie theater as well.

  1. Heritage Farmstead Museum. For children or for history buffs, this is a great place to learn more about the history of the area. This is a historic farm and living museum that works to preserve and teach about the past of this area of Texas.
