How To Select Fixtures For a Bathroom Remodel
Let’s talk about bathroom accessories!
What do we mean by accessories? We mean faucets, bathtubs—any of the hardware.
Search Online:
When you are redoing a bathroom, we always recommend that you go online and see what fits your needs. Read the reviews on the products. See if people complain about things like easily scratched surfaces. It’s always good to see what other peoples’ experience has been with those products before you put them in your bathroom.
Check Reviews:
One thing to keep in mind when you look at reviews—don’t worry if the accessory you like doesn’t have a five-star rating. Usually, you don’t find things with a five-star rating, because there’s always someone who doesn’t like a particular piece, or that piece just doesn’t fit their needs. Just make sure that it has more good reviews than bad, and that it will fit your needs based on the good reviews.
Bathtubs:
For example, when you’re looking for a new bathtub, you have several different types of material to consider. Bathtubs can be cast iron, marble, or acrylics. These materials all have their good points and their bad points. You have to figure out which type will best fit your particular needs.
Recently we installed a cast iron bathtub in a customer’s Jack and Jill bath. It was perfect for what the family needed. The customer read the online reviews of this particular tub and found that it got great ratings overall—four out of five stars. It’s going to look great, and it’s going to be exactly what they need for their bathroom!
So always check around and do your homework, before you commit to buy, whether you’re buying a bathtub, a faucet, a shower stall—anything! Do you homework and check out all your options. That way you’ll end up with the best results!
