What to Expect During a Remodeling Estimate

What can you expect when you call Nielsen’s Painting and Remodeling for a free estimate?

 

 

 

 

After that first phone call, we will send you a questionnaire asking you about your house and your project. This helps us to get a good understanding of what your needs are and lets us prepare for our appointment at your home. It’s helpful for us to have as much information on the house as possible, as well as information about any other designers you have been working with, whether you’ve done any other remodels in the past, etc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The free estimate appointment itself lasts anywhere from 30-90 minutes, depending on how big your project is. One of our sales reps will arrive with a folder. The folder contains his card with all of his contact information. It also contains a page explaining our mission, our story, who we are, what we stand for. We also include some testimonials, so you can see what other people have said about our work. (You can also check online and Google us to find reviews and testimonials.)

 

 

 

Another page answers our frequently asked questions, and we will go over these at our presentation. We also include an overview of our process so that you will understand how we work and what to expect. 

 

 

 

We also include information about the designers we typically work with. These are partners we use from project to project. They are independent, so you can also look at their websites and testimonials. 

 

 

 

 

Here’s the fun part— we include pictures of work we’ve done for clients. If you want to remodel your bathroom, we will bring you pictures and examples of other bathrooms we’ve done, so you can see our work. You’ll get to see the whole process as we include details of the elements the homeowner chose, our rendering of the project, and a picture of the finished result! 

 

 

 

 

You’ll also find a calendar showing how long it will take for your project to be completed, and information on our insurance so that you can call to verify that we are covered.

 

 

If you like what you see we will leave you with a PSA. This is a contract that will protect both you and us as we start working to put your project together. You might contract with us to give you a design estimate, or for the entire project from design to completion.
